Melissa Choy-Yuen joined the staff of the Department of Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences in January 2020. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2016 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Gallaudet University in 2018. Ms. Choy-Yuen holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA-CCC), as well as state licensure in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Additionally, she is a child of deaf adults (CODA) and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
Professional interests: Working with clients across the lifespan and a variety of disorder areas such as articulation and language delays and aural rehabilitation.
Outside interests: In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading, exploring the Washington DC area, and spending time with her husband and friends.
