Robin Goffen graduated with a B.S. in Communication Science and Disorders from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1984 and completed her M.A.T. at Indiana University in 1985. Following her Clinical Fellowship in 1986 at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, VA, Ms. Goffen worked in the Charlottesville Public Schools. In 1990, Ms. Goffen joined the staff of Gallaudet University’s Department of Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences as a Clinical Educator. In 2001, Ms. Goffen added the responsibilities of Internship Coordinator and in 2014, Ms. Goffen became the Clinic Coordinator for the Speech Language Pathology team.
Professional interests: Varies from working with adult clients with neurogenic communication disorders to pediatric clients with articulation and language delays. The favorite aspect of Ms. Goffen’s job is supervising the speech language pathology graduate students.
Outside interests: When not at work, Ms. Goffen enjoys spending time with her family and friends whether it be hiking, traveling, exploring new restaurants, or just relaxing.
